Description

This is a Rare, English, Victorian, late 19th C, Silverplate Spoon Warmer. This Victorian-Era invention used to keep serving spoons warm at the table especially when kitchens were far from the dining area.  The Servers would pour hot water in the opening an place the spoon inside.  This piece reminds me of a Genie Lamp.  It is in amazing antique condition with wonderful detail.  These pieces are not easy to find especially in this condition and are highly collectible. The hallmark on the bottom reveals its history, crafted by Silversmiths Robert & Belk, Sheffield, England, 1864.  It has been tenderly loved for over 161 years.  It weighs over 1.4 pounds and measures 9" long, 3.5" tall x 4.5" wide.  It is in wonderful antique condition with only normal age related wear.  This is a winner!  There is a reserve price of $85.00 on this piece.
