Description

A showstopper pendant featuring a cameo carved from chloromelanite, a form of jadite. A note found with this piece refers to it being mined in Greece in the South Aegean region. The Hellenistic style cameo is in high relief, and set in an ornate gold frame that incorporates flowers and seashells. A one-of-a-kind beauty.

The setting is unmarked but tests as 18K gold. 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" (including bail).
